Manx Loaghtan is a rare breed of sheep that is better known for meat than fiber. It is considered to be a medium wool as it isn’t very soft or very scratchy. The fiber is highly versatile as it can be easily spun woolen or worsted. It makes a very durable yarn with some shine when spun worsted. It is great for socks and other garments that are subjected to wear. Traditional used for tartans and tailored suits.
