Developed in Wales during the early 1800's, Lleyn are now found throughout the UK and are primarily raised for meat. The British Wool Board classifies Lleyn as a medium grade wool.
Lleyn wool is sometimes described as similar to a BFL in softness and a Border Leicester in strength.
It's insulating properties and texture characteristics make it an ideal choice for a variety of weaving, knitting or crochet projects.
Suitable for dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting and felting.
