I like it, couple things were a surprise
"No mention (unless I missed it) in the description of the wax that is recommended for the parts before you put it together. I did order some after I received the loom and read the directions, and it worked wonderfully, even for the shuttles my husband made me. But would have been nice to know about when I ordered the loom. The loom does not connect in the front to the stand. It rests on arms. If it's a tight shed, you have to hold down the whole front when you put up the heddle. But not a big deal, just surprising."

"I really like this stand - it's sturdy, easy to assemble, and easy to adjust, compared to the stands available for many other small rigid heddle looms. The support braces are easy to use and make a huge difference in the looms's stability. The only downside is if you push hard on the back of the loom, like when repositioning heddles, you can make it tip backwards off the braces, but once you are aware of that tendency, you can manage it."

Haven't actually tried it out (I'm in the middle of another project on another loom) but I have assembled it and I'm sure it's going to work just fine. My only concern will be that it may not be sturdy enough - I currently clamp the loom to the table. Guess we'll see. NOTE: THIS LOOM STAND COMES COMPLETE WITH SUPPORT BRACES! (even though the image on this website shows it without). In fact, I ordered a set of support braces and will have to return them because I don't need them. Ashford must have realized it wasn't very sturdy without braces and now includes them. I don't like to weave at an angle much so I've got it set up almost flat, but the ability to choose is nice (just need to adjust the support braces)."
