Disappointed
"The locks are very short and tangled. Lots of discoloration. Difficult to process into usable fiber. Would not purchase scoured fleece from the woolery again."

The Blue Faced Leicester fleece is highly prized due to its similarity to mohair and the fabulous yarn it produces. The fiber feels finer than the micron count would suggest. Blue Faced Leicester wool is a favorite among spinners, weavers and knitters.

"Lovely, soft fleece, takes dye well. Some VM but nothing unreasonable, especially for the price. Packaged well and shipped in the time frame given. I would buy this again."
"Can't wait to spin this. So beautiful and clean."
"I received a bag that seemed to disintegrate every time I touched it with my hands. I know that it wouldn't have withstood the carding process. I had hoped to blend it my angora rabbit fiber, but no such luck."
"This fleece has been a huge disappointment. I have heard that BFL is a dream to work with. I was super excited to card and spin this BFL that I purchased. It has taken SO much time to process it just to get it ready to be carded. I won't buy this again."
"The wool arrived last week and finally getting a chance to work with it. The scouring completely felted the locks and they will neither card nor comb. This would be fine if I made trolls or Santa’s but I was hoping to spin this fiber; no way that is going to happen. I have purchased fiber here before and always been satisfied but am extremely disappointed. This fleece should not have been sold and will be shopping for my fiber elsewhere"
"I see the picture is of the crossing type of BFL which in the US we only have the traditional so does this come from the UK?"
"Not really pleased. Scoured in the lightest meaning of the word. Was on backorder without any indication of that when purchased. It still smelled like a raw fleece and had to be washed again. Lots of vm and dust. It is nice fibers but not sure that I can make use of it as planned and is more work than I planned on."
"It combs nicely."
