Wooden Saddle Seat Stool
This comfortable stool will complement any spinning wheel or loom. The saddle shape makes it almost impossible to slide off! The curve on this stool make it comfortable to sit in for an extended period of time. You don't have the fatigue you do on stools with a flat bottom. A striking combination of form and function.
The Saddle Seat Stool is made from the Hevea brasiliensis (aka Parawood, Plantation Hardwood or Malaysian Oak) which is similar in hardness to that of oak or maple.
A rubber tree can produce latex for 25-30 years in Brazil, Central America and SE Asia. Historically, these 70 foot trees were simply cut down and burned at the end of their latex production cycle.
