Recycled Mulberry Silk Fiber

Ideal for use as a fiber fill or as a blend with other fibers to impart a silky feel as well as sheen.

Can also be used in papermaking.

Mulberry Silk is also known as Bombyx silk or Cultivated Silk.

Mulberry silk represents more than 90 percent of the total worldwide silk production. The Bombyx Mori Moth worms that produce this silk are domesticated and usually raised in greenhouses, where they feed solely on mulberry bushes. One of the unique benefits of Mulberry silk is that it is hypoallergenic. Mulberry silk contains a natural protein, sericin, that reduces the possibility of an allergic reaction.

"Product will still be used but is nothing like shown in picture. Excited to work with it but im worried that the ultra short staple length (a centimeter to half an inch) will give more of a tweed effect rather than adding shine."
