This is a neat little

"This is a neat little loom. For my first project I decided to do clasped weft using the 10dpi heddle and some fingering weight yarn. It's as easy a loom to warp as any rh I have, and narrow enough to make a peg rather than a raddle practical. I actually warped at the office at lunch on a conference table. I used Texsolv for the cords, and I plan to replace the warping restraint loops with Texsolv too. I didn't buy the Texsolv kit; I just used Texsolv cord I had. I warp with sticks; the Presto warping sticks are pretty much perfect for the loom. One bundle is plenty Yes that is a temple. I don't weave anything wider than a band without one, especially clasped weft, which tensions the edges a bit. Glimakra's smallest temple is a perfect fit for the 10"" Presto, and The Woolery carries it. Sold. Clasped weft messes with my ""right is up, left is down"" rhythm because both directions use both altitudes. My brain doesn't hurt AND I get a better finished product if I treat it like a band; use the heddle just to change sheds, and beat with a sword. (SSSH! I I'm also using a very narrow shuttle. ) I suspect the heddle and the provided shuttles are fine for plain weave, though I might sand the shuttle curves a bit. All in all this is a well crafted little loom. I have not yet flattened it for transport; it's small enough that I don't think it's really necessary. I also haven't used the pretty yarn they sent. . . yet. The wood is bare. I may use some sort of a finish on it. . . eventually. I want to FINISH this project and weave a backstrap in tabby embroidery floss for my next project."

Portable and Fun!

"Setup and take down are both simple and quick. This loom is so portable, I can break it down and fit it in a small canvas shopping bag, folded completely flat, and take it out to meet and craft with friends. The metal legs have rubber fittings that allow you to use the loom on a table top, or you can weave with the loom propped up against a table edge. It has become my go-to loom for making samples, playing with new techniques, or doing smaller projects when my 24"" Harp Forte is warped. I can't suggest this loom enough! For a bit more fun, order the unfinished loom and use wood dye to create a totally custom-colored loom. I used green TransTint dye, one layer of walnut stain, and finished with water-based polyurethane."

The Kromski 10"" Heddle Loom

"The Kromski 10"" Heddle Loom is a nice addition to my other looms. This is my only Kromski loom & I appreciate the quality of the Kromski & selected this loom because of the comments that other weavers have shared when I was looking for a different size. It was easy to assemble & the parts are very sturdy. I am looking forward to the projects that I have in mind for this beautiful loom."

A joy to weave on.

"Love this little loom. It went together easily and is a joy to weave on. First project was a set of bands. I even warped it wrong (my fault, not paying attention) for the next project and yet can finish the scarf underway."

Expected more from Kromski

"I bought the Kromski Presto 10"" based on my great experience with Kromski's Harp Forte. I assembled the Presto exactly to the instructions. I placed the screws exactly where marked on the wood to place them. Both beams have play side to side. The screws on the turn knobs were placed exactly centered in the circle drawn on the beam stems. The beams slide - even with a warp on the loom. This is not the quality I expected from Kromski. The turn knobs need to be closer to the frame to stop this - and now with the screws in place going through the stem, if I remove the screw and reposition the knob I will weaken the stem of the beam. Also the warp helping cords that Kromski boasts about are terrible. Beyond this the loom is good but not excellent. With only one knob on each beam (the Harp Forte has one on each side of each beam), winding on and advancing the warp is awkward. The wire brackets in front of each beam allow for additional warp to fit on the loom, but holding the back beam while the front beam is turned to advance the warp, the wire bracket makes it difficult to hold onto the back beam of warp to keep some resistance on the warp as it is advanced. I am a big supporter of Kromski and recommend their Harp Forte often, but when recommending the Presto I have to include the points I have written here."

Kromski Presto RH loom

"I am a Kromski devotee as this is my 4th RH loom by them. I bought this to use demonstrate during the RH classes I teach. Best of all RH looms that I've used."

Love My Little Kromski!

"I have a floor loom, but I purchased this little Kromski specifically to use for my hand spun yarn to make scarves. I wanted something portable that I could use in any room in my house. This fit my needs perfectly! Unlike most small looms of this size, this Kromski has bars that hold the weaving area straight instead of slanted, allowing for easier insertion of the stick shuttle. This loom holds the warp nice and firmly and advancing the weaving is simple. I’m glad I decided to try this small loom and I never regret my Kromski purchases."
