Very nice yarn for weaving!
"I'm weaving a 46"" wide fabric with this, 3 yards long, plus the waste extra. I measured the warp using 4 cones (to save time on 714 ends). I only had 1 break while winding on the loom, and no knots! I'm very impressed. It's also fairly soft. There are some tufts now and then, but these haven't been a problem with what I'm working on."

Great for my weaving project :)
"I am halfway through a twill weaving project with the fingering weight brown sheep and it’s behaving super well for me :-) no breakage so far at 16 Epi , using a size 8 reed. Just as an aside, I was coming home from the weaving studio yesterday and decided to take an impromptu walk, but the march winds were awful here in New England and hurting my face!! I realized I had a brown sheep sample in the car that I had woven and shrunk after three washes & oh my goodness it made the best protective scarf!! I was surprised at how no wind got through my sample. And my face was not itchy either although I usually don’t like wool against my skin, I prefer polar fleece, but it worked great. Will order this again for my next project, a wool skirt."

Simply the Gold Standard for Machine Knitting
"Brown Sheep Nature Spun brings quality to every aspect of their yarn at a price that’s very cheap considering the quantity you receive. This yarn is durable with a bit of stretch, which makes it perfect for beginners on knitting machines. Although I used this for sampling and not a final project, the yarn itself comes in vibrant, beautiful colors that could easily be used in a finished piece. Finished knits are not too coarse but not necessarily soft (perhaps rough for sensitive skin), but are extremely durable and stretchy. I know for a fact I will be buying more of this in the future. It’s simply the gold standard at my university’s fibers program. If you have a very difficult technique to practice, you use THIS first before any trickier yarns because this yarn will ALWAYS work with you. Few tangles, no stickiness, no breaks and super high quality. If you’re looking for a fingering weight yarn you can rely on to not clog mechanical bits, THIS IS YOUR STUFF."

Warp kept breaking
"I wanted to use this yarn as a warp for sampling an overshot pattern on my rigid heddle loom. I started noticing the threads getting thinner and splintering as I wove then finally snapping. After 4 warp threads broke I gave up and cut it off the loom. Maybe this yarn would be better suited for weft, but it was terrible for warp."

Tartans
"I just wove 5 Moffat tartan scarves, for my brothers and father. They turned out so fabulous, I’m going to order more so I can weave shawls for my 4 sisters and myself ❤️💫🔆"

beautiful, strong and easy to work with
"I recently used this yarn in the warp of a shawl with aplaca as the weft. I had no breakage at all and the resulting shawl was lovely and soft."

Great service, great selection
"I'm just getting back to weaving after a 12 year hiatus. Having owned a weaving store for 20 years, I'm kinda rusty; however, seeing all the familiar brands and fibers is very comforting. The availability of color cards is incredible, and I will take advantage of that source. Jeannied"

Quality wool yarn
"Yarn is spun well without bulges or ties in the yarn. Results in a soft, warm product."

Beautiful yarn
"This yarn is lovely to work with. I bought skeins in several colors, and all of them are so rich and vivid. As a knitter, I like the way the “sticky” quality of the yarn—it holds onto the needles and keeps its shape as you work. I highly recommend it!"
