Leclerc Weighted Beater Top Bar

xxx11628

Typically Ships In:
2 - 4 Weeks (Special Order Item)

Warp Faced Weaves, like Bound and Rep Weave, have always presented a challenge to hand weavers, especially those using wider floor looms. The hard beating required to pack the weft is tiring and can cause physical strain on the weaver's wrists and arms reducing the time they can spend at the loom. Leclerc's Weighted Beater option for its popular line of floor looms makes weaving more enjoyable.

The Weighted Beater option adds from 3 to 13 pounds to the weight of the beater assembly, making it easier for the weaver to beat the weft harder.

The weights are designed in such a way as to not detract from the loom or get in the way of the weaver. Because the extra weight is distributed between the two battens, the amount of weight can be varied by using either the Top Bar, the Weighted Beater Bottom (see item - LECBB) or both.

Note: Items with a shipping length of 48” and longer are subject to a surcharge, regardless of the shipping method selected. (Fee is imposed by the shipping carriers.)
