Felting & Fiber DVDs

Felting and Fiber DVDs

Felting is believed to be the oldest known method of textile production. Unlike weaving, felting produces a textile by tangling, matting and condensing fibers (typically wool) together to produce a fiber matrix.

As in ancient times, felting is still used today to produce tents (yurts), rugs, shoes, hats, luggage and clothing.  Felting as found modern day uses such as noise reduction in automotive applications and as a sound dampening material used in cymbal stands and piano mallets.
