Fleece - CVM / Romeldale - Black
Romeldales were developed in California in 1915 as a cross between Romney and Rambouillet. In the 1960s, California Varigated Mutant developed from the breeding of Romeldales for both fleece color and quality. An excellent introduction for those spinners hesitant about working with fine fibers. CVM is comfortable and rewarding to spin.
Similar to Rambouillet and Merino, CVM / Romeldale yarns are suitable for next-to-skin clothing, blankets and like items. Suitable for felting as well.
