"This is indeed cute, and seems like it would be good quality once assembled. Alas, I couldn’t get that far because the ends wouldn’t fit onto the shaft. If I had tools I could perhaps have filed the shaft ends down to make it fit, but I needed a functional niddy noddy rather than a woodworking project. The Woolery was kind enough to issue me a refund. As noted in the description, the wood is truly unfinished. A small piece of sandpaper is included in the package in case you want to finish it yourself."
