African Market Baskets

African Market Baskets was founded by Steve Karowe as a way to support weavers and their families in Africa. African Market Baskets has been importing hand-woven baskets from Africa for the last 35 years, and Steve for the last 18 years, he has worked directly with artisans in Bolgatanga. Steve regularly meets with the weavers and holds town hall meetings where he listens to concerns and needs.

African Market Baskets makes, sells, and imports hand-woven baskets and the baskets with leather handles are wrapped in goat skin for comfort and durability.
