are made in New Zealand. They feature true double treadles which operate alternately (just like bicycle pedals) for relaxing, smooth easy treadling. Other features are frictionless ball bearings, a single hook flyer for quick winding, a stretchy no-adjust drive band and smooth patented bobbins which allow you to steam, boil or dye the yarn on them. NEW! Majacraft Aura
The Aura is here! A new way of looking at double drives and a new way of looking at spinning. This wheel is a collaboration between Majacraft and the very accomplished spinner, Lexi Boeger – aka “PluckyFluff”. Designed from the ground up, the Aura has a new style and presence while still retaining the classic Majacraft look. It has two independent drive bands, one for the flyer and a second for the bobbin.
The flyer drive has three different ratios and the bobbin drive has two ratios plus infinite adjustment. Being so unique, the Aura requires new thinking about spinning and expressing your creativity. The potential is huge and when you are ready to explore everything that can be achieved in spinning then the time has come to spend some time with an Aura.
The flyer is all new and builds on the advances Majacraft has made in the past. It shares the aerodynamic shape of recently introduced on all other flyers for efficient and easy spinning. Most importantly it has a new dual function orifice. Fine yarns can be held still in the delta part of the orifice. This also has the function of holding coil yarns very still so you can observe your work. You can bypass the delta and use the large halo ring for spinning huge. With the new double drive, the Aura can spin anything that can be pulled through this orifice!
The new folding handle design has the grip in a new location and special bumpers on the handle to keep the spinning head away from the pedals when you fold it down. As with all other Majacraft wheels, they have worked to make it as compatible as possible with all available accessories. All existing Majacraft flyers will fit the Aura. The Aura uses jumbo hand-turned bamboo wood bobbins produced after April 2010 (Jumbo bobbins produced prior will not fit). Three jumbo wooden bobbins are included with each Aura.

Majacraft Pioneer
The latest addition in the Majacraft line, the Pioneer is an entry level wheel with double treadles and Scotch tension. Made of solid pine (stem) and plywood (base and pedals, MDF wheel), it is covered with an attractive cream wash finish. It features a delta flyer, polycord drive band and the ability for the spinner to customize the orifice position (as in the Gem). All Majacraft flyers and bobbins will fit on it. Weight is only 11 lbs. Orifice height is adjustable from 27" to 29". Wheel diameter is 12.6". Ratios: 4.5, 7, 10, 12.8 and 14.5 to 1. Includes 3 boilable bobbins + one FREE one from The Woolery.

Majacraft's Portable Little Gem
It's novel, it's small, it's very portable. The Majacraft Little Gem 2 breaks some new ground in spinning wheels and comes packed in its own thermal carry bag.
What's special about it? It follows the concept of the accelerated wheel. Instead of being driven by rods connected to the treadles, the wheel is belt driven from a small crank between the treadles. At any given speed, the Gem wheel rotates at around one and a half times faster than a normal wheel. The treadles operate on a unique rolling action over the crank, entirely different from the up and down action of conventional treadles. The head portion is separate from the main stem and is able to be raised and turned to suit the spinner. This is a major development in design where the spinner can feed the fibre straight into the orifice rather than moving the hands or body to suit the direction of the wheel.
The Little Gem 2 is very easy to assemble and dis-assemble, the wheel and lower stem folding down over the pedals after the head has been removed. However it can also be carried or stored folded flat with the head assembly turned to the side.
Ratios are 4.5, 6, 8.5, 10.5 and 12.75 to 1. Weight: 10 lbs. Wheel diameter; 8.25". Wheel construction is New Zealand rimu high density fibreboard with solid rimu face. Finished in hardwearing precatalysed lacquer. Flyer shaft and wheel are mounted on sealed roller bearings. Delta orifice on flyer. Orifice height is adjustable from 26 to 28". The Majacraft Rose
- what a pretty wheel! It has some of the look of the Suzie below but also some unique differences. The center support has a different design and the wheel is spoked. The treadling is double. Ball bearing connections are used throughout. It comes with a regular flyer (with delta orifice) and fine fiber flyer (with regular orifice) so total ratios extend from 4.25:1 to 19.5:1 utilizing two whorls (4.25, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13.25, 16.5 and 19.5 to 1). The lazy kate is set up in a box for use and storage. The wheel is shipped partially assembled meaning you can be spinning in short time.
The wheel is 17" and is made of MDF (like the green version of the Suzie). The balance is made of New Zealand Rimu. The bobbins are very large and made of plastic that can be used directly for dyeing. Tensioning is done with a scotch set-up on the flyer and an easy wheel tension adjustment on the flyer head. The flyer uses the now standard delta orifice. Everything comes finished with a hardwearing precatalysed lacquer. Includes four bobbins.

The Majacraft Suzie
(with ratios from 4.1 to 15 to 1 - 4.1, 6.5, 9, 12 and 15 to 1) folds up for transport and has a convenient built-in carry handle which pops up when folded. Made of laminated New Zealand rimu, it weighs only 14.5 lbs. Comes with four bobbins.

Majacraft Fine Flyer Head Set: this is primarily for the Suzie but can be used with the Rose. It is an accelerated head (with fine fiber flyer) that boosts your ratios. For the Suzie, this means ratios up to 32 to 1. With the Rose you can have speeds up to 46 to 1, but it is not recommended that this fastest speed be used.

Majacraft Stylus Kit - The major benefit of a Stylus is that it allows you to put a lot of twist into a yarn so is particularly suited to lace weight yarns. The outcome of this huge amount of twist means that it is possible to spin a lot of yarn much more quickly than with a traditional flyer. | NEW! Majacraft Tape Measure: These elegant hand-turned tape measures are made from a variety of beautiful woods, generally New Zealand native timbers, but also from other desirable species. Each tape has a piece of New Zealand shell or other beautiful material inlaid on the top. They ensure that your tape measure never gets lost or tangled in your work bag. The tape pulls out from its holder and can be rewound by turning the top. Each tape is unique in character and design and the tapes are graduated in both metric and imperial scales.
