Leclerc Looms
Leclerc was established in 1876, producing weaving tools for weavers from all over the world. Leclerc looms are sturdy, well-built, made of selected kiln dried Canadian hard maple. Looms are shipped knocked down for easier handling; all looms have 6 treadles and all (except Compact and Fanny II models that come with a 12-dent carbon reed) include your choice of carbon reed (6, 8, 10 or 12-dent - or pay a supplement if you prefer a stainless steel reed), a heddle hook, 2 lease sticks, 1 boat shuttle, 1 dozen styrene bobbins (except for Compact and Fanny II models), the book "Warp and Weave" and assembly instructions and video. All (except for Compact) come with at least 1,000 wire heddles; if you prefer inserted eye heddles, price is slightly higher. Sectional warp beams allowing the warp to be easily and quickly beamed by one person, are also available. A tension box, yardage counter and bobbin rack to be used with the sectional warp beam are also available. A flying shuttle beater and double warp beam are optional for 45" and wider looms. Leclerc catalog is $5.

A beautiful compact 36" loom equipped with an easy tie-up system, the Artisat can be folded front and back to a depth of 14" (even if weaving is on the loom). the 4-harness weighs 95 lbs; 8-harness weighs 135 lbs. LECLERC NILUS II (JACK, COUNTERBALANCE or COUNTERMARCH)
A very sturdy loom with many professional features, the Nilus II has a depth of 48" for the 4-harness and 51" for the 8-harness (which guarantees an excellent shed!), folds to a depth of 27.5" (32" for the 8-harness) and is available in 4 widths: 36" (1,000 heddles; 155 lbs for the 4-harness and 190 for the 8), 45" (1,200 heddles; 158 lbs. for the 4-harness and 205 for the 8), 60" (1,500 heddles; 170 lbs. for the 4-harness and 250 for the 8) and (New!) 72" (4-shaft counterbalance only). The counterbalance version is built with an integrated shed regulator. Identical in appearance to the standard beater mechanism shipped with the Nilus II, Fanny II and Colonial, this option adds 4 to 13 lbs. to the weight of the beater assembly making it easier for the weaver to beat the weft harder. Just replace one or both of the horizontal bars (battens) that hold the reed.This option will fit Nilus, Nilus II, Mira, Mira II, Fanny, Fanny II, Colonial, Colonial I and Nilart.

LECLERC FANNY II (COUNTERBALANCE 4-HARNESS)
If you do not have enough space for a Nilus II counterbalance loom, you may want to consider the Fanny II. Available in 36" (1,000 heddles; 118 lbs.), 45" (1,200 heddles; 130 lbs.) and 60" (1,500 heddles; 158 lbs.) weaving widths, it has a depth of 36 1/2" when open and 25" when closed. It is easy to treadle, good for rugweaving and, like the Nilus II, incorporates Leclerc's exclusive Shed Regulator. It comes with a 12-dent carbon reed, one boat shuttle, a heddle hook, 2 lease sticks and the book "Warp and Weave". Requires assembly. Includes assembly instructions and video.
