This kit includes directions to knit and felt a coin purse using 2 colors of Maine wool yarn. A pewter button from Norway is also included. The kit comes packaged in a cute little plastic tote shaped like a purse. Colors of totes and yarns will vary. This is a quick and easy kit, ideal to try knitfelting for the first time!

Paper by the Yard-The craft of artfelt™ would not be possible without this revolutionary paper, made from a starch base. Durable enough to withstand repeated tacking to attach the roving, yet it dissolves in boiling water.

Artfelt Paper by the Yard – Approximately 5 feet wide. (Comes without plastic).

Tack Board- This tool is essential for creating with artfelt®. It will protect your work surface from the needle tacking that you will be doing. They are made of Polypropylene, and are 1” thick. 

Barbed Needles- These barbed needles allow the roving to be tacked into the artfelt™ paper. They are meant to be used individually and only so much as to tack the roving into place. These are not for Needle Felting.

New! FELTING NEEDLE HOLDER, HANDMADE

Felting needle holders are made using a sturdy, industrial quality pin vise with a turned wooden handle. The holder stores one needle. They are available in walnut and apricot wood. Other exotic woods may be special ordered. Overall length of the holder is about six inches, diameter three-eighths to one-half inches. This needle holders use needles that have had the bend clipped off; instructions for removing bends are provided. Clipped needles can be purchased from us by special request if you cannot clip them yourself ($1.25 ea.).

This mat is ideal for using with the felting needle tool by Clover pictured above. For appliqué, just place the motif over the base fabric and pierce lightly with the felting needle tool. Insert the needles vertically; they should not touch the base of the mat. The fibers will become interlaced, attaching the motif to the fabric beautifully. The bristle length provides the ideal hardness and density for punching. Overall base is 6.25"x4.5"; needle felting surface is 5.2"x3.25". Total height is 2.75".
